The way Google AdWords works is every time someone clicks on your ads; you pay money. So if you want to improve your quality score, you have to do a few simple things. Number one, target very specific keywords. Don't do broad match. If you go after particular keywords by doing the exact match, what'll happen is your ads will only show up for that particular keyword or phrase. When you go too broad, you're going to end up paying more per click because Google's going to be showing your ads to a lot of people who aren't clicking. The next tactic that you need to be following is negative keywords. For example, let's say you're selling computers. When someone types in Apple because you're also a reseller of Apple computers, you may want to add the negative keyword of food. Because if you show up for ads related to Apple and someone's looking for the food, you're going to be wasting money per click, your quality score is going to go down, and your ad costs are going to go through the roof. So make sure you add in negative keywords. Third, group your ppc keywords. What I mean by grouping is a lot of your keywords are similar to each other. Put those in one group. So the higher your click-through rate, the cheaper your ads will be. And the higher your click-through rate, the better your quality score is going to be. The fourth tip I have for you continues to optimize your ad text. If your ad texts get more click-through than the competitors, your cost per click is going to go down, and your quality score is going to go up. By testing, you're going to be able to figure out what works and what doesn't work. If you're unsure of this, look at your competitors. Type in a keyword. You can see the ad texts that other people are using at the top. Usually, the people at the top have appealing ad text and which is getting a ton of clicks. If you can't find a ton of examples when you're searching a keyword, go to SEMrush, put in a keyword, and it'll show you the history of all the people who have been bidding on that keyword and what their ad copy was. Last but not least, optimize your landing page. If your landing page is fantastic when people go click through on your ad, go to your landing page, and buy, your quality score is going to go up. If your landing page sucks and people keep bouncing back off, well, Google's going to ding your quality score. The way you can landing page is, A, put your keywords on that landing page. So if someone Googles the keyword marketing and your landing page also shows marketing, you're much more likely to keep the visitor on there and convert. B, continually run tests using Crazy Egg. Using Crazy Egg, you can see where people are getting stuck on your landing page, what they like, how far down they're scrolling, and what you can improve on that page to create a better user experience. That's it. Follow all those techniques and tactics, and you're going to be able to improve your Google AdWords quality score and your inbound marketing efforts.

In most cases you will have to re-write your article or re-write your page, but it will be worth it. With my site I typically make my articles double the length and I try to naturally include the keywords when I can. Step #3: Include the keywords in your meta tags - by adding your main keywords within your title and meta description it will help increase your click through rate and rankings. The more sites that link to you, the higher you will rank in Google. Now all backlinks aren't equal. Here are some of the things Google looks at when analyzing backlinks: 1. How authoritative is the site linking to you? If Huffington Post links to you it is more effective than if I, NeilPatel.com links to you. Why? Because Huffington Post is considered a well known authoritative site. 2. Authority is measured by a metric called "domain authority". It's from a scale of 0 to 100. The higher the number the better. You ideally want to get backlinks from sites with a domain authority that is higher than yours. You can use the tool ahrefs.com to learn what your domain authority is. 3. The more related a site is the better the link. If you are in the plumbing space, a link from Huffington Post isn't as good as Home Depot (which is an authority site in the home repair space). Try to get links from high domain authority sites within your space. If you want to build links the quickest way to generate them is through round up posts. Email people within your space and interview them. Include their thoughts within your blog and let them know when you publish the post that includes them. Ask them to share the post on their favorite social network and even ask if they can link back to you. By doing this your rankings will climb in Google.

Google AdWords. You know what the number two most popular ad network out there is? Facebook ads. But running Facebook ads isn't as simple and easy as you think. I spent a ton of money on Facebook, and I'm going to show it to you, my mistakes, so that way, hopefully you can be much more successful than I was. Hi everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you three important lessons learned from spending over $400,000 on Facebook ads. The first lesson I learned is, don't spend money on buying subscribers. A lot of the money I spent was to build up my fanpage of over 900,000 fans. Algorithms keep changing, yes, they may restrict how much viral your post or your video content can end up going, and a lot has to do with your content. If your content's not amazing, you're not going to get a lot of reach. But if you're going to be spending money, make sure there's ROI in it. The second thing I learned when you're doing ads, the best performing ads are videos by far. No one wants to create videos. Everyone wants to do banners because they're the easiest, but if you take the time to do videos, your cost is a lot less and your conversions are a lot higher. When you're optimizing for videos, make sure the text, there's a transcription, and it automatically starts playing, because video ads, the sound doesn't automatically show up for people. You want to have the transcription going there, so people can read, they're going to be much more likely to convert. With your video, it needs to convey emotions, it needs to be a good length. You need to get really people hooked, tell a story, because if you don't and you just try to get people click through to your site, and have the cheapest amount of clicks, it won't necessarily generate you the most amount of revenue. Don't optimize just for spend reduction, optimize for ROI. It's okay to be spending an extra dollar per click if you're making more money. Don't focus on how much you're paying per click. Focus on how much revenue you're generating for how much you're spending. That's the key with Facebook ads. The third tip I have for you, and this is what most people don't tell you, especially if you're running banners, in Facebook's algorithm, they look at hey this is a new ad, we're gonna push it, give it priority, and see how it does within the first few minutes or hour of it being up there. So what we started doing is, we would throw up ads, and within an hour of them being up, we would keep changing up the creative and the text or stopping them and running new ones. By doing that, we were getting much cheaper impressions and premium placements, and we were generating a much higher ROI in our ads. Most people won't do this, because they're like oh this is too time-consuming. But I kid you not, that one little thing during our peak was reducing our spend by over 30%. That's over 30%. If you're spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, that's a huge savings. Now eventually, as we kept scaling it out, we couldn't keep doing that, but we still do it with a lot of our campaigns, and still, to this day, when we're selling products for our clients, we're rotating up their creative so often, it's generating a much higher ROI. They think we're crazy, but hey you've got to do what you have to do if you want to compete in this competitive landscape, especially when Facebook ads continue rising in cost. So hopefully you've learned from my experiences and my mistakes, and best of luck with your Facebook ads. People are coming to your website and not buying. Why? Because your copy isn't persuasive. Copywriting isn't about being the smoothest writer out there. It's about answering objections. If people are satisfied by getting answers to all of their concerns, they are more likely to convert. When writing copy focus on your headline. 8 out of 10 people will read your headline, but only 2 or 10 will read the rest of your content, which shows you need to focus on the headline. Headline writing is all about stating the problem that your customers are facing and then giving them the solution. Now that you have your headline down, you need to write copy for the rest of the site. Just put yourself in the visitor's shoes and write copy for people in different segments. For example, make it easy for people to buy right away if they know your product or solution and give details for those who want to learn more before they buy. Don't worry about copy length, focus on answering all objections and in general your sales go up. Lastly, make sure you test your copy using Crazy Egg. It will tell you what is working and what isn't through their visual reports and A/B testing.

He finds that it is hard with Google filters to make it to the inbox and people are just not even really checking their emails, so he's not even convinced that he should use email marketing with his agency. 0:30 First off, anytime a business operates, they need email. Yes, there's Slack, there's Skype, there are many other communication channels, but businesses still revolve around email, and if businesses still use it, you can bet that if you get an email in their inbox and they read it, you can generate sales. 1:00 For that reason, emails aren't going away. Gmail ads are growing in revenue, more and more people every single quarter are leveraging Gmail ads just because they know emails are powerful. So the first part of your question is, are emails valuable, yes. I know that's not directly what you answered, but the second part, which I'll get to is, do they still work, yes, because people still read emails. 1:50 GDPR has come out, and with GDPR, and I love it you have to put a little tick box saying, yes I authorize you to send me weekly emails. So that way they know what they're getting into and you'll find that that increases your open rates because the people who click that tick box want your emails. 2:15 The second thing that most people don't tell you with email marketing is, you need to scrub your list. If you have 100,000 email list, and that's usually the threshold, once you hit 100,000 you're going to notice that your email open rates just start tanking and it's because people don't clean their lists often enough, I clean my list monthly. And some email providers do this like ConvertKit does this I don't think MailChimp does this, but I think MailChimp wants you to keep paying out money for the inactive emails. 2:45 The whole purpose of cleaning the emails are for the people who aren't opening your emails and engaging, you just stop sending them emails. And by doing that yes your email list shrinks, but what you'll find is, the people you send the emails to the engagement goes up, and Gmail and Outlook look at engagement more than anyone else and it's a really high priority, for if they're going to put the email in the inbox and if you're only sending emails to majority of the people open it and you start having 20-30% open rates, you'll notice that your emails go into the inbox versus the Promotion tabs. 4:00 Don't use email templates, use text-based emails and add in links. You also don't wanna add more than three links to your site; I try only to do one. If you add in too many, you're going to notice that you also won't see amazing deliverability. 4:15 Make sure you whitelist your emails. So go to AOL, they whitelist, you can use services like Return Path. Outlook and Gmail don't do whitelist services. But if you follow these tips, you'll be good to go. And you'll get in the inbox. 4:30 Make sure you test creative subject lines like ones that your friends would send, lower case, things like hey did you see this, right? Of course, it needs to be relevant to your business or the offer you're producing, if you dupe people they're going to get upset, I'm giving you an extreme case so you can try to have the creative juices start flowing and come up with really good ideas. In addition to the XML sitemap, Yoast allows you to create custom title tags and meta description tags for each blog post. The more appealing it is, the higher your click-through-rate will be, which will cause your rankings to increase over time. The second thing you need to do is cross link. If you hide them it can potentially hurt you. There are two rules you need to follow if you want to boost your rankings through internal links: 1. Add links within your content (make sure the links are relevant to your content) 2. Link to your most important pages It's that simple... Now just because you add more internal links it doesn't mean your rankings are going to shoot right up. It can take 4 to 6 months to kick in. It shows their most popular pages and the keywords that drive their Google traffic. If you take those pages and write better content than your competition, you can eventually outrank them and take some of their traffic. Tool #2: Buzzsumo - this tool is great to get you more social media traffic. Search for phrases in Buzzsumo related to your space. Buzzsumo will provide a list of all of the popular articles. Create an article better than the ones on Buzzsumo and reach out to the people who are most likely to share it (Buzzsumo provides you with that list). Tool #3: Google Search Console - You have errors on your site and you need to fix them. From 404 errors to issues Google has with your site, Google Search Console lists them all out. Fix all of the errors. Tool #4: SEMrush - Similar to Ahrefs, SEMrush shows where your competition is getting their traffic from. The difference is SEMrush showcases all of the paid keywords your competitors' bid on. You can then get a list from SEMrush of your competitions most lucrative paid keywords. From there you can start bidding on those phrases as well. Tool #5: Ubersuggest - You probably already have some Google traffic. Ubersuggest will show you all of the long tail phrases related to the keywords you are already ranking for. Add those phrases onto your website and you will gobble up more search traffic.

It works for a B2C ,B2B, a personal blog or a corporate blog, it works for everything. I kid you not, it is the best formula out there. First tip: Start off with a title. Don't just start writing a blog post, unless you have the exact title, do not write your blog post. The second step that you need to follow when it comes to writing a blog post is the introduction. In your introduction, you need to hook people with a bold statement. It's also about talking about what's gonna be covered in the post. Just give them a quick overview on what you're gonna teach them, is a great way to hook them in, as well, to get them to go more into your blog post, read more, and ideally, even leave a comment at the end of your post. Now that we got the introduction done, let's get into your body. Your body should include subheadings. Keep in mind, you want your content easy to skim. If people can't skim it, you're not gonna do well. In your body, use subheadings, and keep your paragraphs around five to six lines max. In addition to that, when you're writing your content in your body, you'll notice that at least on neilpatel.com, I link out to other people. That's part of my formula, it's not just about linking to your own site, it's about linking to other sites. Because what happens is when you link to other websites, you open up your sources, you're citing them, it creates more credibility for you, makes you and your business look more as an expert, and that's what you wanna be perceived at when you're writing content. Last but not least, you wanna wrap up your post with a conclusion. The conclusion summarizes what your post was about, and you end your conclusion with a question. By ending with the question, more people are more likely to leave a comment. When they leave a comment, it creates engagement. By getting engagement, you're much more likely to generate sales. If people read your blog but they don't engage with you, they're not likely than to become a lead, or buy your products, or your services. So it's really important you end with a question. And here's what we found with conclusions. Brazing Crazy Egg, we use a scroll mat feature, and what we found through testing was, a lot of people read blog posts, when they first land on them, they quickly scroll to the bottom, check out the conclusion, and then they go back up and read the rest, assuming they like the conclusion. So with your conclusion, make sure you label it "Conclusion". Don't get fancy, keep it simple. Just call it a good ole' conclusion. And that's my formula to writing blog posts! It's not that hard. Now one thing I did mention within this whole process of writing blog posts, that you need to link up to other sites. And here's a bonus tip: I know this goes a bit above just writing, but very few people do it. When you link up to other people, it flatters them. People love getting back-links, because when you link out to someone, it drives in more traffic. Especially when you're linking to them in a positive way. Hopefully you're not bashing people in your blog post. Stay above that. So when you link up to them, shoot them an e-mail. "Hey Curtis, I have to say I am a huge fan of your work, so much so I linked out to you in my latest blog post. You can check it out here. Cheers, Neil. P.S. If you shared it, it would make my day". In essence, I am emailing every person I link out to. Within that email, I ask them to share my post on their favorite social network. This works well because people don't mind promoting you when you are promoting them via a link. Here is the email template I use: Hey [website owner], I love your work, so much so that I even linked out to you in my latest blog post. [insert link to your blog post] Feel free to check it out. The chances are people are coming to your site to buy something, showcase what they are looking for. If they are coming to your site for information instead, then showcase your content first. With my blog, people would come for information, but I would first show an email optin. My bounce rate was high... I then removed the optin and my bounce rate decreased. Next, you need to increase your font size. Make sure your text size is large enough where people can read it. This is really important on mobile devices. After you fix your text size, make your design minimalistic. The more minimalistic your design is, the lower your bounce rate will be. I tested this out on the Crazy Egg blog and it worked well. In addition to adjusting your design, cross-link. By linking to internal pages people will stick on your site for longer. You can also use images, it helps convey your message in a visual way. Again this decreases bounce rate. Or you can use audio or video content formats if you prefer them over images. Just follow the steps above and your bounce rate will decrease.

"Why can't I create content like that?" You know all those naysayers out there saying you can't do it? I don't care if you have terrible grammar and spelling like me, you can do it. If I can, everyone can. Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you what makes an excellent blog post. So, here are some of the things that you need to know if you want to write amazing and awesome blog posts. The first thing that makes a great one is a conversational tone. If you're writing with the words "you" and "I," you're creating a conversation with the reader. They'll feel a connection with you, they're more likely to engage, and your content's going to come out way better. The second thing you need to know, it's all about the headline. Eight out of 10 people will read your headline, but only two out of 10 will click through and read the rest. If your headline sucks, no one's going to read your content, and then, even if you wrote amazing posts, no one's going to know about it. So, how do you know if your content, more so your headline, is amazing, or is going to be amazing? You go to Buzzsumo, you type in keywords from your space, and you'll see what's popular. That'll give you ideas of what works and what doesn't. You can go to Reddit, you can go to Twitter, you can go to those sites and see what's working in your space, but Buzzsumo aggregates all the main social networks, and they do all the work for you. The third thing is a blog post that's educational, one that teaches, goes above and beyond where someone reads it and is like, "Hmm, I know now what to do. "This post laid it all for me step by step." That's amazing content. But if you read something, if I said, "Here are ten ways to double your traffic," and you read it, and you're just like, "Oh, how do I grow my traffic? "These concepts seem cool, but I'm lost. "What do I do?" That would suck, and you don't want that. You want something that educates and is actual, where people read it, and they're like, "Oh my God, Neil has amazing information, "and I am satisfied after I read it, "and I know what to do next." The fourth tip I have for you is written content that is trendy, up-to-date. People don't want to read regurgitated information. Sure, you don't have to leverage the latest trend, but write new stuff. Don't write stuff that's ten years old. That may have been amazing ten years from now, but people have moved on, technology, the time has changed. Make sure your content is up-to-date. The fifth tip I have for you is leverage different media formats, from images to infographics, to podcasts, to videos. Not everyone is text-based readers. Your blog posts don't just have to be filled with text. Include images or infographics that tell your story. Include videos that help get your message across. Include audio clips. By doing all of this, it'll make your content more amazing. And the last tip I have for you has cited your sources. You don't know everything, I don't know everything, and that's okay. We're all here to learn more. I could learn a lot, and I don't want ever to be the person who's the smartest person in the room. I want to be the person who's the dumbest one in the room. That way, I can learn more. So, when you're writing your content, and you're researching, and you're trying to prove your points and back up your claims, make sure you link to other people who have already done the research and cited this information. So that way, when you cite them, and you give them credit, it helps make you more reputable, and it shows people that you did your homework. It's okay if you don't know everything. Use Google to research all the stuff that you don't know, so that way you can make your blog posts way more thorough. Once you follow all those tips, your content will be way more amazing.

They interviewed SEO experts. And you know what they said was the number one factor that impacts your Google rankings? Links. But unique links are tough to build. So how are you going to create them? Today I'm going to share with you how I built over 23,000 unique links to neilpatel.com. And what's impressive about this is neilpatel.com is purely marketing-related. If I can convince other marketers to link to me, you can build links using the same exact tactics. So let's break down how I built over 23,000 unique backlinks. Go to BuzzSumo. Type in a keyword related to your industry. It'll show you all the popular articles based on social shares. Take the articles that are in-depth and list-based and break down things step by step, and then create an infographic with that same information. You can spice it up, add your own data to it, but, hey, the content is all right there in front of you. When you create this infographic, you need to cite the source that you got all your information from this specific website, but it'll go viral. Why? Because most people would rather look at an image than read thousands and thousands of words of text. Use Infogram or Canva to help build your infographic, or you can use Dribbble, dribbble.com to hire a designer. If you're going to pay a designer, it doesn't cost more than 500 bucks. Now that you created an infographic, what you need to know is this: an infographic has to be super visual. If it's data-rich, that's great. But if it has a ton of colors and is hard to look at, that's not good. If your steps don't flow in a smooth pattern, that's not good. Once your infographic is up and running, add an embed code so other people can take that infographic and put it on their website. If they put it on their website, what does it do? It links back to yours. If you don't know how to create embed code, use a plugin on WordPress called WP Embed Code Generator, and that'll just create the embed code for you so then that way people can just copy and paste and slap your infographic on their website. Now that you got that infographic up on your website and people can embed it so that'll create backlinks, you need to get traffic to your site. If you don't get traffic, no one's going to embed it. I want you to go back to BuzzSumo and find that article that had all those shares. Click on View Shares, and that'll break down every single person that shared that article on Twitter. You want to email 'em, "Hey John; I noticed you shared this article on Twitter "called 101 Ways to Boost Your Traffic by author Neil Patel. "I have a similar infographic "that breaks down those points in a visual fashion. "Cheers, David." Now that you're sending out these emails, you're going to get a lot of responses, people being like, "Yes, I want to see it." Not only will they share it, but a lot of them will embed it. Now, the next thing you want to do is go to Ahrefs, ahrefs.com. Put in that competitor article and see every single person who links to them and email them. It's that simple. And then once you have the audience, you want to create more amazing content, and I love using the Skyscraper Technique which Brian Dean invented. Go to BuzzSumo again, you type in keywords, and you're looking for articles like 10 Ways to Double Your Search Engine Traffic, and you want to write more thorough articles, like 101 Ways to Double Your Search Engine Traffic. You click on the View Shares. You hit up each of those people using an email. You get them to share your articles. And then, boom, you'll get more traffic, more backlinks, and it'll keep rolling in and create this snowball effect. You also want to do the same thing with Ahrefs. You go, type in your competitor URL, and you'll see all the people who link to them and which articles get the most links. Write better versions of those articles and then email them again with the same email template and asking them to link to you. By doing those things, you'll get a ton of links. Now, as you get this traffic coming to your website, you need to use a tool called Hello Bar. Hello Bar makes it simple to collect emails, just like how I collect emails on neilpatel.com with my exit pop-up. Now, when you're collecting all these emails, what ends up happening is when you publish a new blog post, you can email all these people letting them know about your latest blog post. They'll come back to your website, they're more likely to share it, more likely to read it, and more likely to link back to you. So if you want to improve your CTR you need to: 1. Use SEMrush - put in keywords and competitors in SEMrush. This will show you the ad text your competitors are using. If your competitors are constantly using a specific ad text, it usually means it converts well for them. 2. Create better copy than your competitors - look at what they use and try to come up with better variations. 3. Use keywords within your copy - if you include the keyword people are searching for in your ad copy you are more likely to get clicks. The copy needs to sound good, just adding a keyword isn't enough. 4. Start day parting - if you are in the B2B space people are more likely to become customers during normal business hours. So only show your ads when your ideal customers are online. For the B2C space, you can consider running your ads during all hours of the day. 5. Geo target - if you are only doing business in a certain region, then show ads only within those regions. This will help increase your overall CTR, which will reduce your ad costs.

You guys know that, Google loves content, as they say, content is king. But here's the thing, there's over a billion blogs right now. So, if you go out there and you just write tons of blog posts because your competitors rank for all these terms, it won't work. Regurgitating the same information over and over again won't produce results in 2019. What you need to do is create a new unique spin. You have to write about fresh stuff that people haven't seen. So instead of focusing on writing a blog post every day, maybe write a post once a week, or if you can't even do that, once a month, but if you write something that's super new and unique, I kid you not, you're gonna get a ton of social shares, you're gonna get a ton of backlinks, you're gonna get a ton of comments and engagement and traffic. The second tip I have for you is to build a brand. There's a lot of sites out there creating fake news, and Google hates that. They're looking for brand signals, and if you're wondering how big your brand is, go to Google Trends, type in your brand name, versus your competitor, and you'll see how you're doing. The reason they wanna rate brands is, it builds trust. They know that if people are looking for your brand, they trust you, and you're less likely to create crap content or write fake news. The third tip I have for you is, link building is harder than ever. Everyone's hitting up these sites for links. Yes, there's over a billion blogs, but because there's so many sites out there, everyone's getting hit up more and more for links. The fourth tip is make sure your website loads fast. Google has a mobile-only search engine as well as one just for your desktop and laptop devices. Speed is more important than ever. Yes, I know people have 4G and 5G phones, just because they have fast ones doesn't mean they're in an area with really strong reception, so that could mean your website loads really, really slow. Use Google Page Speed, it'll show you what you need to fix to load faster in Google's eyes. The next tip I have for you is voice search. Voice search is becoming more and more popular. By 2020 over 50% of the people will be using voice search. So you wanna make sure with your website and your content, 'cause that's typically what's gonna rank for voice search, you're answering questions people may type in, in short sentences. Not big long paragraphs, but it should be one to two sentences. The shorter you are with your responses to the answer, the more likely you're gonna rank. The sixth tip for you is, update your content. Google's tired of ranking old, outdated content. I've mentioned this many times, there's over a billion blogs, so what does that mean? There's content on everything. Whatever you're writing on, the chances are, there's 50 other articles similar to that. If you wanna do better, I know I already mentioned, write new, fresh content. But even with your new, fresh content, other people are gonna copy you, so you need to update it, it doesn't have to be monthly, but at least once a year, go into your best-performing pieces of content and update them. The first tip I have for you comes from Kevin Kelly. It's called 1000 True Fans. Typically, whatever product or service you're offering, or whatever niche you're in, there's probably a really active community of those people. The true die-hard fans. They usually hang out on specific sites. When you engage with those first 1000 people, those are your true die-hard fans. They become your first 1000 visitors, your first 1000 people on your subscriber list, your first 1000 customers. They're not only much more likely to buy from you, but they're likely to blog, share, tell other people about it. That's what helps you get to the next 10000 buyers or fans or subscribers. Then from there, that's what allows you to grow over 100000. 2:00 How to Build an Audience Tip #2 The second tip I have for you is look to see what publications those 1000 people who are super engaged within the community read. Typically, they don't read too many sites. For example, in the marketing world, there's so many marketing blogs that I can't keep track of, but there's only a few handful that are super popular, like neilpatel.com, or Backlinko, or Moz, or HubSpot. But when you guest post on these sites, it doesn't take too much effort because you don't have to guest post on hundreds of sites. 3:30 How to Build an Audience Tip #3 The third tip I have for you is to ask people within the community to share your content. If you ask people in your community to share your content, especially when you don't have any fans and you're a nobody, they're usually not gonna do it. So you have to do something that causes them to want to share it. For example, if I was new to the marketing world and I release amazing blog posts with stats and data about marketing and I also link to BackLink or Brian Dean or someone from Moz, I would then email them saying, "Hey Brian, I have to say, I am a huge fan of your work. So much so, that I even linked to you in my newest blog post. Feel free to check it out here. Cheers, Neil. P.S. If you enjoyed this blog post feel free to share it." 4:00 Now, I could go on and on with more and more tips, but I found that these three simple ones work well. So, let's recap. One, you need to go find where your community members are and engage with them one-on-one. Not because it'll help you build up a community, but because you truly care. If you don't truly care for people, they're gonna see through it and you're not gonna build up a loyal following of your first 1000 fans. Two, you need to guest post, but you don't wanna just guest post everywhere. It's a lot of work, you won't get results. You need to guest post on the main industry publications that the superfans, the thought leaders within the space are reading. Third, and this is the last one to recap, you wanna link out to other influencers within your space to cite your work, to use their data, to back up the points you're trying to make. Of course, email them once you do because they'll share your content. 4:30 You follow those three tips, not only are you gonna get more traffic, but you're gonna build up a more loyal fan base so that way whenever you push out content, videos, podcasts, there's gonna be people waiting to follow you, listen to that, watch it. So create a website using WordPress and setup a blog. Make sure you pick a domain name as well. Once it is setup, start blogging. You should be blogging about whatever topic you are passionate about. From there you'll want to install the Yoast SEO plugin. This plugin allows you to change your meta tags as well as optimizes your WordPress blog for search engines. Within your meta tags make sure you include your keywords. By placing the right keywords in your title tag you are more likely to rank for them. In addition to adjusting your keywords, you will have to cross link your posts together. By cross linking them, they are more likely to get indexed. Last but not least you will also have to build links. Go to Ahrefs.com, type in your competitor URLs and email out every site that links to them and ask them to link to you as well. Over time you'll see your rankings increase and you'll get the hang of SEO.

If you can plug in links that a relevant to the answer (such as ones from your website), you'll notice that it's a quick way to get a few thousand visitors per month. Opportunity #2: Subreddits - Participate on Reddit. The more you get involved the more clout you will have on Reddit. There is a section on Reddit for your industry. Submit content from your site as well as other sites on Reddit. This can drive tens and thousands of visitors assuming Reddit likes the content you are submitting. Opportunity #3: Forums - A lot of popular forums exist on the web. Find forums within your industry and participate. Respond to questions people are asking. Every time you answer a forum thread make sure you have a signature. Within the signature should be a link back to your website. Opportunity #4: LinkedIn - You can publish your content on LinkedIn. Take your blog content, publish the first few paragraphs and add a "click to continue reading" link at the end. If people want to read the rest they can click through over to your blog. This has helped me generate over 30,000 visitors a month from LinkedIn. Opportunity #5: Niche blogs - Every industry has niche blogs. Not the TechCrunch's of the world, but the small ones. Participate on these blogs and leave comments. When leaving a comment you can add your URL and it will drive traffic back to your site. Make sure the comments you are leaving are thoughtful. Opportunity #6: StumbleUpon - It's not the most popular social network but it can still drive you thousands of visitors. You can buy clicks for pennies on the dollar through StumbleUpon Ads. If you want free traffic all you have to do is use their toolbar. Opportunity #7: Facebook groups - Similar to fan pages there are a lot of popular groups within your space. Help people within the groups and respond to their questions. As you respond to questions, feel free and link to your site if it is relevant and will help others. Use those 7 tactics and you will generate more traffic to your site.

Address the problem - your headline should address the problem your visitors are facing. If they know that you can help fix their problem they are more likely to sign up. When addressing their problem, you should ideally do this within 5 or 6 words. Try to keep it under 10 if you can't make it short. 2. Have a sub-headline underneath your headline - this should address the solution to the problem. This reinforces that you can solve people's problem. 3. Continually test new headlines - your headlines can always be improved. For this reason, you should test them. You can also go to conferences like Affiliate Summit or Affiliate World to recruit more affiliates. Plus you will learn about affiliate marketing from these events including how to recruit affiliate marketers. Now once you get affiliates you want to make sure your landing page converts well. Affiliates are really good at knowing how to market Clickbank products. But if you don't convert your leads into sales, then affiliate marketers will stop promoting your products. So instead of just trying to read everything, read something and then take what you've read and applied it. You can't use this against me. I rank for the most competitive term on Google, on page one. You know what that term is? SEO, I'm competing with other marketers who know what they're doing. That's harder than just competing with other companies. I'm competing with companies with money that know what they're doing. And I'm on page one for the term SEO. And I'm going to show you the exact steps I took to rank there, but again, you have to promise not to use this for that term so that you would outrank me. #1: Your content needs to be super-detailed and thorough If it's not thorough, like pillar content. What I mean by pillar content is, that one piece of content that pretty much explains everything out there under the sun for that one topic. You know what the number-one result for SEO is? It's Moz; it's The Beginner's Guide to SEO. It's long, and it discusses everything about SEO, from how to do it, what it's about, how it got started, every little thing and every tactic or formula that Google's looking at to rank a site. Now, my content doesn't rank us high, but if you notice, the content on Neil Patel isn't as thorough. And you don't have to be as thorough, but it just shows, the more detailed you are, the better off you're going to be in rankings. #2: Your content needs to be beautiful The better-designed and the more beautiful it is, the better-off you are. People don't like looking at ugly stuff. I don't like looking at ugly web pages. No one else does either. Make sure your stuff is really pretty. #3: It has to load fast. If it doesn't load fast, it's not gonna work for most people, especially on their mobile phones. They're pulling out their mobile phone, they're like, oh, this is taking forever to load. More than 50% of the people using Google are on their mobile phone or mobile device. So make sure your site loads fast, and especially that webpage that you're trying to rank. #4: After you do that, cross-link that post or that pillar page on every other page on your website. If you go to Neil Patel and you go to any single blog post, you'll notice that I link to my SEO article. It's providing more juice; it's telling Google, hey, I'm linking to this article on every single page for a reason. It's important; I find it important, I want users to know it's important. They're clicking on it; you should rank it high up as well. #5 The next thing you need to do is use Ahrefs. Go, type in your competitor URLs, and see who links to them. Hit up all of those people and ask them for a link. For example, you can send them a short email saying, "Hey John, I noticed you're linking to X, Y, and Z site. I have a similar article that came out, but mine covers one, two, and three that their article didn't. Feel free to check it out here, and if you like it, link to it. Cheers, Neil." And leaving an email like that to other people leave to your competitors will cause more links back to you. If you send 100 of those, you should get roughly five people linking back to you. If you don't get five linking back to you, that means the email you're sending is too irrelevant people that shouldn't be linking to you in the first place. #6 The next thing you'll want to do is, be patient. You're not going to rank right away. That page, after it was put up, it took a year and a half before it popped onto the first page. You have to be patient and continually update it, provide more value, make it prettier design. But as long as you're keeping everything up-to-date and you're patient, eventually you'll notice that your rankings will climb. Mine went from being in the top thousand to top hundred to page five, to page four, to three, to two, and eventually page one. It was a slow, gradual build. #7 And here's the last tip for you, and this is what most people don't tell you when it comes to ranking. If you have two sites, General Motors and BMW, they both have a lot of links, they both have billions of dollars to spend on SEO and marketing. So how does Google know which one to rank higher for car-related terms? It's brand-related. If Google noticed that more people are searching for BMW over General Motors, what are they going to do? They're going to start ranking BMW higher because they have a bigger brand.

Log into Google Search Console - through Search Console you can see what pages lost traffic. It shows you which pages are going up and going down over time. Now that you know what page has lost traffic, Google the terms that the page is ranking for and look at the top sites who currently rank. What are they doing differently than you? How does their content compare to yours? 2. Adjust your pages - Google Search Console will show a list of keywords your page used to rank for. Integrate those keywords onto your page and make your content more thorough. You can't just stuff in keywords, it needs to flow naturally. 3. Double check your meta tags - make sure your keywords are within your title tag and meta description. Once you have done that, submit your URL to Search Console again, they will crawl it, and within a few weeks, you should get more search traffic and higher rankings.

Now here's what I mean by that. I'm not talking about, find people like me or whatever it may be, I'm on YouTube, or any of that, I have a blog. I'm talking about, find people who aren't on YouTube who have a big audience. And funny enough, it's a huge market. So if you look at how many going to blogs are out there, right, if you look at Wordpress, there's so many, but there are not that many people doing video content, and I would start discussing with people who have really high ranked blog posts in industries that you're interested in helping out, such as fitness. For example, there's a guy I know named Jeremy. He owns a company called Legion Athletics. They also own a site called Muscle for Life. It's a blog on fitness, gets over a million unique visitors a month. This is a multimillion-dollar company. It's an eight-figure plus business. So with them, they already get a ton of Google traffic. You already know YouTube and fitness are huge. They already make over 10 million a year. Why not hit people like that up and be like, "You know what, I wanna create videos for you guys, or you guys go create videos, but I wanna show you how you can get more traffic on video than you can through text, or why not combine both of them?" You're already crushing it from content marketing. Why not do videos as well? Now, going back to your first question of how do you get to 100,000 visitors a month. SEO TRAINING Step #1 First, I would go and write amazing articles in your space about YouTube marketing. There's already other people who have articles on YouTube marketing, but I would do more in-depth guides, and then go reach out to every other person who's linked to those articles on YouTube marketing, 'cause you can go to Buzzsumo, type in YouTube marketing, YouTube SEO. You then go take the most popular ones, because they base it off the social shares. SEO Training Step #2: You then go to ahrefs.com, put in the URL of those sites. You'll start seeing all the people linked to them, hit them up, and beg them for a link. If you're content's more thorough, they'll do it. You'll just be like, "Hey, I'm Adam. Check out my site called https://Viewership.com; I got amazing content; I cover x, y, and z, and a, b, and c that they don't." It is that simple, and everyone's like, "No, no, that doesn't work." It's a grind, but it works. If you send out 100 of those emails, you'll get five links. And everyone's like, "Oh, that's too much work." But if you do it, because no one else is willing to, you'll get links. You get the links; you'll start ranking higher on search engines. Yeah, so my systematic process is, I do the outreach for link building, which I showed you. I do the outreach for social shares using Buzzsumo. SEO Training Step #3: I link out to people naturally. And then I hit up them even if they're my competition and be like, "Hey, you have amazing content. I loved it so much; I even linked out to you. Feel free and share my article if you like it." And a lot of your competitors will share your content, even if you're unknown. It works so well. So once I do those three strategies, and you test these templates, then I just go to Upwork, and I find someone in India or in places like this, where they're smart and the labor's much more cost-effective, and I have them do my outreach for me. And I just scale it up, and I'll hire a few people. And that's how you scale it; you do it in mass quantity and boom, you'll notice if you do this, in the first three months, you'll start noticing some traction. In your Google search console, you'll get impressions but not that much traffic. First six months, you'll get some. The 10 to 12-month mark, that's when your traffic picks up, and you have a good shot at hitting 100,000, but you have to have mainstream keywords, so use Google keyword planner, and make sure the traffic per keyword is higher. That's exactly how you can get to 100,000 visitors per month. Just follow this SEO training and you'll get there before you know it.

You don't have to be a designer or marketer to boost your leads and sales. Instead, there are simple hacks and tools you can use to increase your conversion rate. Hack #1: Countdown clocks - when you add a sense of urgency it makes people move faster. Test having countdown clocks on your web site. With tools like Deadline Funnel, you can even add countdown clocks within your emails and make offers expire within ease. That way people know there really is a sense of urgency. The countdown clock on the Neil Patel homepage boosted my conversions by 11%. Hack #2: Exit popups - with Hello Bar you can easily create an exit popup on your site. The exit popup on NeilPatel.com is one of the best converting offers. Through Hello Bar you can even add an animated gif to the background like I have. Hack #3: Free trials - most of your visitors aren't going to buy. Why not offer the users who don't convert a one dollar trial or a free 30-day trial? This simple technique boosted my revenue by 15%. Sure a lot of the free trial users cancel after a month, but an extra 15% in revenue still isn't bad. This tactic here is how companies like Hulu and Netflix have grown so fast. Hack #4: Use geotargeting - with Maxmind you can add the person's location within your web site. For example, if your visitor is based in Los Angeles, you can add their city to your headline to boost your conversions. Such as... "I am looking to help one entrepreneur in Los Angeles build a bigger business, my only question is, will it be you?". You can do the same thing for e-commerce or service sites. Hack #5: Picsnippets - people love handwritten notes and personalized emails. Picsnippets allows you to create a personalized email with the individual's name on a photo. This makes your emails seem personalized to the person opening it, hence your conversion rate will go up. Hack #6: Remarketing - everyone uses remarketing, but not why use it in a clever way? For everyone who hits your checkout page and doesn't buy, you should show them a remarketing ad/video that explains what they will get if they continue with the purchase. Hack #7: Quizzes - through tools like Lead Quizzes you can engage with your audience first and then ask them for their email address. You can use quizzes for any type of site. Let's say you have a fitness site, you can create a quiz that breaks down how someone can lose weight and at the end of the quiz show them relevant products that will help them lose weight.

Most people say you need to do on page SEO. But where do you start? Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share seven free tools that will help you rank number one on Google. Tip #1: Quick Sprout Analyzer. Quick Sprout's a free tool, go to quicksprout.com, put in your URL, it's a gamified SEO application, and it'll break down the problems, and will walk you through how to fix them step by step. If you're not putting in the right keywords in your title tag or your description or your alt image tags, Quick Sprout will tell you, and Quick Sprout can publish them all for you. This will help with SEO optimization and google ranking. #2: Yoast SEO plugin. It's one of my favorite tools. With the Yoast SEO plugin, every time you publish a blog post, it'll give you a score and tell you, hey, here's how you can optimize every single one of your blog posts to get the maximum amount of traffic. #3: Google Search Console. With Google Search Console every time you publish a new blog post or a page, you have an XML site map. The XML site map is created by the Yoast Plugin which you then submit to Search Console. Search Console shows you how many impressions you're getting, how many clicks you're getting, which pages are popular, and it even shows you which keywords are getting a lot of impressions for, but not a lot of clicks. You can then go and optimize your content by adding those keywords in, adjusting your title tag, your meta description to include those keywords, and maximize your click-through rate and boost your google ranking. #4: Google Trends. Google Trends shows you brand queries. That way you'll know which brands are more popular and what people are searching for. Take the car industry for example. There's General Motors, and BMW. They both have millions of dollars to spend on SEO. They both have millions of back links. How does Google know which to rank higher? One of the factors within Google is brand queries and Google Trends will show you that BMW is searched far more than General Motors. So what's Google going to do? They're going to rank the more popular car manufacturer ahead of the other. #5: websiteresponsivetest.com More people are using Google on their mobile or tablet devices than they are on their desktop or laptops. You want to make sure your website is responsive, and people on mobile devices can load your website extremely fast, and using this free tool, it'll show you how other websites and mobile visitors are seeing your website. #6: Screaming Frog. Screaming Frog is a super technical SEO optimization tool. You put in a URL, and it shows you every little thing that's wrong, from titles to headings to keywords to links. It analyzes every little thing from the super advanced technical framework. #7: Google PageSpeed Insights. Google PageSpeed Insights shows how fast your website loads and if it loads slow, that's okay. They break down a list that shows what you need to improve both for desktop devices and mobile devices, so that way your website can load extremely fast. Make sure your website loads extremely fast. If you don't know what you rank for, go log into Google search console. Go into Google search console, it'll show you all the terms that you're ranking for. Look for the most popular terms. Now that you've seen the terms that you're ranking for, look to see what page it's going to. Now that you know what page it's going to, we're like alright, this page is generating all these visitors from this one keyword. Let's say you rank for the term digital marketing like I do. You wanna take that phrase, head over to Ubersuggest, put that keyword into Ubersuggest. Ubersuggest will show you all the long tail variations of that keyword. These long tail variations are other variations of it, like digital marketing jobs, digital marketing consultant. Whatever they may be, but they're longer tail phrases of the head term, digital marketing. You wanna take those terms, like digital marketing jobs, digital marketing tips, and see which ones are relevant to the article or the page that's already ranking. Then, you wanna go to that page, and let's say for me it's digital marketing, and you wanna end up rewriting the content to be more detailed to include the long tail phrases that you haven't already included. What you'll find is, Ubersuggest shows you the most popular terms that are related to the head term, they're just longer variations. And it even lists them out in order based on popularity. If you take a minute, integrate them into your content, you'll find that within 30 to 60 days at the latest, you'll also start ranking for all those long tail phrases. Now, the trick with this isn't to just take those words like digital marketing tips and just shoving them in your content everywhere. Because if you spam, it creates a terrible experience and people are gonna bounce back. Instead, you need to adjust your content. So, my digital marketing guide got ranks for digital marketing, is roughly or around 10,000 words. Cause I kept going in, taking all these keywords and adjusting that content, so now it'll just be around digital marketing. But also all the other long tail variations that are around those phrases like digital marketing tips, digital marketing consultant. Now that you've adjusted your content, make sure you take some of the most popular long tail phrases, and put them in your title tag and meta description. When you do Google search, the title is a title tag, that sentence description under that is a meta description. By including those keywords, or some of them, within your title tag and meta description, you'll also find that is easier and faster to rank for them. Now, the last thing I want you to do is, when you're updating your article, feel free to link out to other sites to site your sources or that could be relevant and benefit your audience. And if you do, when should you expect results? The last thing you want to do is spend thousands of dollars or thousands of your hours and it not do anything for you. That would just suck. Hey, everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you how long it takes to see results from SEO. Here are the SEO basics. Here's the thing. With neilpatel.com, when I first started search engine marketing, I quickly got up to 9,000 visitors a month from search. Within a matter of 12 months, you fast forward; I went to all the way to roughly 89,000 visitors a month from Google, right? So in one year I almost 10xed my results. You fast forward another 12 months; I hit over 450,000 visitors a month from Google. So in two years, I went from 9,000 to 400K and roughly 50,000 thousand visitors a month. That's a considerable increase, right? Just think about that. Nine to 450K. That's crazy. Now, you're not going to get the same results as me, because when I started neilpatel.com, this wasn't my first rodeo. I'd been in SEO for a long time, well over ten years. But I'll keep this simple, this is post about SEO for beginners, not pros. When you first begin SEO, in the first three months, you should see more impressions. Log into Google Search Console and look at Search Analytics. You will see how many impressions you're getting. As the first three months go by, your impressions should be going up. If they're not going up, you're probably doing something off, or you're in a competitive space. Within six months for sure, the impression count should go up. And within your Google Analytics, you should see traffic from Google other than terms from your brand name. You already may be getting a lot of traffic for your brand name, but you should be getting traffic for keywords outside of your brand name, even if it's not a lot. So in the first six months, you should be getting traffic from key terms that aren't your brand name. Within a year, things should start kicking in. Within two years, that's when you're going to see the bulk of your SEO growth. By then you've built up your authority and trust in Google, and you just start ranking for almost anything. Now, here's a caveat. If you're not building links and you're not writing a lot of content, and you're not getting social signals to your site, it can take even longer to get rankings. So, to get results within the timeframes I'm giving you, you need to be publishing at least one blog post a week, building at least five to 10 links a month, and you need to be promoting your content every single week on Facebook, Twitter, and any of your other social profiles. If you do that, you'll get results within the first 12 months, but you'll see the bulk of your results come within the first two years.

Well, of course you see a listings page, but you also see a title and description of each website. The title and description are meta tags, which Google pulls from your website. There are a few different meta tags. The title and description that I described above. As well as a meta keywords tag. A meta keywords tag is where you tell search engines what keyword the page is related to. This meta tag is useless and search engines ignore it. Now when you first create a new web page, don't spend too much time on your meta tags. Instead of stuffing keywords into them, focus on making them appealing so people click on them. The reason you don't want to spend too much time on your meta tags is that new pages tend not to rank well on search engines. Once your page is 6 months old you'll notice that it will get more traffic. From there you'll want to log into Google Search Console and see what keywords Google is driving to that page. You can then integrate those keywords into your title and meta description and over time your rankings will climb higher. Just make sure when you modify your meta tags you keep the user in mind. They should ideally contain keywords and be appealing when people read them.

People put AdSense on their site, you put it throughout your text, your sidebar, every time they click on it, you will make money. #2: Affiliate Programs Affiliate programs is where you promote a product or service, and you get paid every time you drive a sale. There's a lot of networks out there that have affiliate offers such as Click Bank, or JVZoo. You can go there to sign up for offers, promote them on your blog, and you'll get paid every time you drive a sale. #3: Sell digital products From e-books, to courses, there's an infinite amount of possibilities with digital products. You can even use a service called Kajabi to deliver your digital products to the people who buy it. Now when you're selling digital products the best way to do it is typically through a webinar. They do over $10 million a year, literally, over $10 million a year because of their blog traffic. It's super effective as long as you're creating amazing product that people want to buy. Use those five methods and you'll be able to monetize your blog and start making much more money. If you want, you can use multiple of them. Some people do ads and they sell digital products. Some people sell digital products and physical at the same time. It's up to you on what you want to do. I wouldn't recommend doing all five, because it's just overwhelming for a visitor, but you can pick one or two, and if you want to go to the extreme you could pick three of those methods and use them all at once.

Instead, you are going to be creating pages around a group of terms or a topic. Let's say you are trying to write a page on auto insurance. You may have 2 or 3 main keywords you are targeting, such as "car insurance and auto insurance", but you will naturally include hundreds of others. Assuming you are creating a thorough page with thousands of words, you will naturally discuss everything under that topic. For example, if you wrote on auto insurance, you may compare providers like Geico or you may take about insurance terms and how to get a deal. The possibilities are endless. Although you can rank for hundreds of keywords, focus just on a handful and you will naturally include the others.

There are sub domains and there are sub directories. Which one should you use? An example of a sub domain is keyword.example.com. An example of a sub directory is example.com/keyword. In general, most sites should use sub directories because their website is on one topic. But when your website is on multiple topics you should use sub domains. For example, let's say you have a blog about entrepreneurship and know you want to talk about stocks and investing. If you want to place that content on your website you may want to consider placing it on a sub domain. If you have a large website that is popular and high in authority, such as a site like Huffington Post, you can put everything in a sub directory, but in general, you want your website to only be on one topic. If it is on one topic, use sub directories and if it is on multiple topics consider using sub domains.

If you want to leverage influencer marketing, you shouldn't be paying people. Instead, you should be giving them free products or services in exchange for the promotion. If that doesn't work, pay them. But negotiate and don't go through agencies as they mark up the costs a bit too high. Now when picking influencers you have to pick relevant ones. For example, Fit Tea picks people who are into fitness and weight loss. I had a famous soccer player offer to do influencer marketing for $60,000. But I am in the B2B niche... so it wouldn't make sense. Only pay people who are in your target demographic. When leveraging influencer marketing you have to be patient as it takes months if not a solid year to see results. This isn't a short term investment. You need to continually do it each week for months at a time.

For example, if you are in the life insurance space, on Reddit you would search for "life insurance" as well as related terms like death, and money. From there create more detailed versions of the content that has done well. For example, a viral piece of content that I have written in the past is "19 Things You Didn't Know About Death". Not only did the post go viral, but it started to rank for "life insurance". I came up with that idea because someone else wrote a similar article that discussed the 10 things you didn't know about death. Mine was just more detailed. The key with creating engaging content is to look for facts. People love to share facts on the social web. You can also find ideas for your industry by doing searches on Buzzsumo and Quora. Buzzsumo sorts content by popularity (social shares). With Quora look for questions with a lot of comments and votes. You can then turn those questions into a detailed blog post on your site. Whatever you decide to write on, make sure the content is very detailed and thorough.

Linkedin is one of the best social networks out there, especially if you're in the B to B niche. Linkedin's way better than Facebook and Twitter for B to B, it has your ideal customers on there. And you're not getting them, you may get some visitors to your blog but they're probably not converting into customers, and that is because you're not leveraging Linkedin. Use this LinkedIn training to get more traffic to your website. #1 The first thing you need to do is connect with other people within your space on Linkedin. I'm a marketer, if you look at most of my connections, they're business owners and marketers. That means they're my potential customers or they're within my field, and they can promote it to other people who are following them. And the cool part about Linkedin is, you can have up to 30,000 connections. Once you hit 30,000 connections like me, sadly they cap you off. If it were up to me, I would say that they should just make it unlimited because I want more traffic from Linkedin, but for now, 30,000's enough. #2 So now that you've got thousands of followers, what you want to do is the second step, is post your content on Linkedin. See if you just click the share icon within your blog post, like on the Neil Patel blog, in my sidebar, where as you're scrolling, you'll see Linkedin social sharing icons, and if you click that, it doesn't help me generate that much traffic. But, what does help me generate way more traffic is when I take my content, put it on Linkedin, and only put the first few paragraph on Linkedin and then have a click to continue reading the link. By having that, I'm getting thousands of visitors from Linkedin per day right now, isn't that crazy? Before, I wasn't even getting more than a few thousand visitors from Linkedin, and now I'm getting over a thousand visitors a day it's that big of a difference. All I'm doing is just putting the first few paragraphs and then putting "click to continue reading" and that drives people to my website. #3 Have the Linkedin social sharing button on your blogpost. #4 And last but not least, when you're sending out your email blast, put it in a PS at the bottom of your email and ask them to share it on Linkedin. Combine all those strategies, you will get more traffic from Linkedin, and better yet, you'll get more leads and sales, because Linkedin as some of the best traffic out there especially if you're in the B to B niche. Step #3: Optimize headings - Headings make it easy to skim your product page as well as tell search engines what your products are about. Within your headings include keywords. Step #4: Include feature lists - When people are looking for products they sometimes Google for the features. Make sure you bullet out the main features on each of your product pages. Today I'm going to share with you how you can generate more search traffic using Voice Search. 0:30 Voice Search Optimization Tip #1 So the first tip I have for you guys is to make sure your site is compatible with HTTPS framework. If a website is HTTPS, from what we found, it's much more likely to generate traffic from Voice Search. We've noticed that over 65% of the results from Voice Search are from sites that have HTTPS. 0:50 Voice Search Optimization Tip #2 The second tip I have for you is to build authoritative domain. This isn't going to happen overnight. You're not going to be the next Forbes or Huffington Post or Business Insider, but you can still be an authority within your niche. What we found is sites that have a lot of links, a lot of amazing content, social shares, good user experience, overall, they're an authority because they deserve too, are the ones that are getting the lions to share of the Voice Search traffic. And if you, yourself, don't have an amazing site or amazing experience, and you don't feel your authority, that's okay, do something to fix it. Make your content better. Make your design better. Outreach to people who link to your competitors and ask them for a link. Go above and beyond with your marketing to be the leader. If you're not one to be the leader, you're not going to get the traffic from Voice Search. 1:45 Voice Search Optimization Tip #3 The next tip I have from you, and this comes from my friend, Brian Dean if you want to do well in Voice Search you need to make sure you're website loads fast. It needs to be precisely 4.6 seconds or faster. That's more than 50% faster than the average webpage. So if your website loads fast, you're more likely to get the traffic from Voice Search. If it loads slow, probably not going to get that traffic. Do you know how fast your website loads? Leave a comment below. If you don't go to Google PageSpeed, put on your website, let us know what your scores and how fast it's loading. 2:11 Voice Search Optimization Tip #4 Last but not least, you need to have short answers within your content. Here's what I mean by this. If you want to go after Voice Search, similar to normal SEO, pages with over 2,200 words perform better than pages that are 500 words, or 600, or 700. The more content you have, the more Google can index you for different terms, the more traffic you can potentially get. Within that content, you want to have quick short answers. For example, if rhyme writing an article that breaks down SEO and a whole beginners guide to it, maybe I'll have a heading called, What is SEO? Then I can have a one or two sentence answer to what SEO is. That's an example of in-depth content, right? How I can use headings in in-depth content and use short answers because that makes it easier for Google to give people the answers. 3:10 If you follow all of those tips you'll be able to generate a lot more traffic through Voice Search. I know it's not popular yet, I know it won't make up the majority of your traffic, but you need to get on top of things because eventually it will become way more popular and you don't want to be scrambling at the last minute to get that extra search traffic. Yes they say content is king, but you already know there's over a billion blogs. Nowadays Google isn't just picking from, hey what content do we wanna rank, 'cause we lack content. They're like, we have content on everything under the sun, and the same thing a hundred other times. So now they're just not picking, what content do we wanna rank? They're looking at authority, user metrics, they're even looking at when was the content created. Why would they wanna rank a content that's two years old, when they can rank something that's less than one week old. So when it comes to content marketing in 2019, you need to make sure that your content's also being up to date. If you don't update your old content, you're not going to get as much love as people who're continually pushing out new fresh content. Second tip I have for you is don't regurgitate the same information over and over again. People are tired of reading 12 SEO tips that'll double your traffic. You can google it, there's probably different variations of that number, but there's probably hundreds of articles on that subject. Write something new, fresh, that hasn't been seen before, you're more likely to get traffic, rankings, and even social shares. I know you're not gonna like this third tip, but the third tip for you guys is to create video and audio based content. Text is overrated, it doesn't help you connect with people as much as video. I still love text, I still crank out text, but the future is video. It's much more personable, people get to know you, your personality, your company better. So create video based content, upload it to YouTube, Linkedin, heck you can even do Twitter and Instagram if it's short enough, and of course Facebook. Don't share the same video over and over again, like sharing your YouTube video on Facebook. You gotta take that video all over again, and reupload it into Facebook. Linkedin for example, you gotta reupload the video all over again versus sharing the link to that Facebook video. Or that YouTube video. Now with audio you wanna create a podcast, it's easy, you can just bust out your phone, create a audio file, upload it to Itunes or Lip Sync, and you're off and to the races. Same with video, you don't actually have to go into a studio like I am, and shoot all these fancy videos and pay money. You can just bust out your phone. I would even say most the time, from all the tests we've ran, the videos that you end up running on your iPhone convert better if you're selling a product or service. So there's nothing wrong with doing that. Just look at Tai Lopez, he's known for just busting out his phone, and recording videos and it does very well for him.
